The thought of teaching ones child in all manners comes to her mind since she came to know that she is pregnant. Mother has a lot of thoughts about the growth of a child. Proper growth and giving perfect education and training in all hemispheres of life will assure parents that they are successful in the raising of a happy child. There are many areas which need proper attention of the parents. The foremost area of attention in my view is of social growth of a child. Social growth of a child means that a child when starts to respond to the outer environment that must be healthy and positive.
Social activities for a child are play-dates, dining out, playing with animals, making circles of friends, relations with family members and most importantly the language. Language is the source of communication and children can easily learn the language which is used in the social environment. The infants may start to stare at and touch each other especially the children of their age. It happens from the age of 2 to 3. This age is considered as the perfect time when the children learn the true social skills. Parents mould the child to what is acceptable when taking part in regular play-dates. For some time he notices the way other children of his age are doing and playing with others. This observation is helpful unless some other child grabs his toy.
One of the most common problems that weakens the process of socialization in the children is of not sharing the goods and toys with other children even with their sisters and brothers. Hence, the conflicts over the toys and other possessions are seen among the 2 years old. These acts of them are inevitable and slow down the process of perfect socialization. It is a tip for the parents to guide the child in a way that he must avoid the conflict and try to share the toys and things in their possession. Social interaction and cooperation are learnt by the child from the home. The habits of dining, communicating and playing are key areas to educate the child to cooperate with other kids of his age. The older sisters and brothers become a source of school for them as they can lean the social traits from them because at that age they gather together in the events of playing, creating brief tea parties, and many social plays.
The most important tip suggested to the parents reading the social growth of a child is to encourage them on a good action and discourage them on the wrong act. Research shows that the children as young as 20 months begin to form relationship with the surroundings.
